West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James will declare the month of March as Florida Bicycle Month in Palm Beach County.

Historically observed in March in Florida, Florida Bicycle Month recognizes the importance of bicycling in the lives of Florida residents and visitors. The observance encourages individuals to get out and ride a bike! Florida Bicycle Month celebrates bicycling as a popular form of recreation and transportation choice, increasing access to employment through economical means, reducing traffic congestion and emissions, and promoting healthy lifestyles, a vibrant economy, and enhanced quality of life. In Palm Beach County, Florida Bike Month is promoted by engineering firm DDEC.
