Florida Bicycle Month is all about helping more people feel confident, safe, and excited to ride. Today, we had the chance to share that message on ABC 25 WPBF News, where we talked about the purpose behind Florida Bicycle Month and invited the community to join us for today’s Wheels in Motion event in Lake Worth Beach.

During the TV segment, we highlighted how Florida Bicycle Month encourages biking, scooting, and other active ways of getting around by making safety information, community events, and practical resources more accessible to everyone. We also shared a few simple but important helmet fit tips, including making sure a helmet sits level on the head, rests just above the eyebrows, and has straps that form a snug “V” under each ear. A properly fitted helmet can make a big difference, and small adjustments go a long way.
We also talked about today’s event, Wheels in Motion, a free community gathering designed to connect people with resources, safety support, and a little fun, too. The event takes place at Tri-Rail Lake Worth Beach, 1703 Lake Worth Rd., Lake Worth Beach, FL 33461, Track 2 (Northbound) from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Attendees can enjoy a bike raffle and take advantage of free helmets for the first 50 people and free bike tune-ups while supplies and time last.
Events like this are a big part of what Florida Bicycle Month is about. They bring people together, create opportunities to learn, and help build a stronger culture of safe and active transportation across our communities. Whether you ride every day or are just getting started, we want people to know there is a place for them in this movement.
We are grateful to 25 WPBF News for helping us spread the word and shine a light on the importance of bike safety, helmet education, and community engagement. We hope to see you at today’s event and throughout Florida Bicycle Month as we continue working to make biking, scooting, and active transportation safer, easier, and more enjoyable for all.
